18.5+ Killer Brands Similar to Wrangler

View More Inspo

Growing up on a ranch in Texas, Wranglers were the only jeans tough enough to withstand all the riding and roping I did every day.

I’ve tried other jeans brands over the years, but I always come back to my trusty Wranglers.

But recently my booty has decided it doesn’t like the fit of Wranglers as much as it used to. The struggle is real, friends.

So I’ve been on a mission to find some other jeans brands that have a similar style and vibe as Wranglers, but with a little more stretch and curve-hugging action in the rear department, if ya know what I mean.

Through much trial and error, I’ve come up with a list of top brands that I think all my fellow Wrangler-loving cowgirls will appreciate.

These new jeans brands have the same rugged, western style I love about Wranglers, but with a more modern, flattering fit for my mom-bod booty:

1. Rock & Republic

Rock & Republic jeans have a similar low-rise, straight leg fit to classic Wranglers.

But they use stretchier fabrics, like a cotton-elastane blend, so you get that comfortable broken-in feel without sagging or bagging in the knees and rear over time.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

I especially love their whiskering and contrast stitching that give that down-and-dirty cowboy vibe. The edgy back pocket designs with metal studs or eagle details remind me of my favorite pair of vintage Wranglers from the 90s.

Rock & Republic’s styles like the Lexi, Victoria, and Wild Child all have that slouchy, straight leg silhouette I love from Wranglers but are made with innovative fabrics that conform to your curves without losing their shape.

I also appreciate that Rock & Republic offers short, regular, and long inseams so I can get just the right length for my long-legged frame.

2. Joe’s Jeans

While Joe’s Jeans are pricier than my usual Wranglers, they are awesome quality and totally worth it in my opinion.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

Their Revelation fabric is super soft and stretchy but still keeps its structure all day without getting baggy in the knees or rear.

I’m obsessed with their mid-rise cigarette leg jeans – they are slimming and sophisticated, great for a date night after a day working the ranch.

Joe’s Jeans also offers cute western-inspired details like contrast stitching, whiskers, and strategically placed shreds.

Their Brixton style with raw hem detailing and their Charlie high rise cigarette jean are my top picks.

At around $200 a pair, they are an investment – but with their perfect stretchy fit that hugs my curves without gaping, they make my mom-bod booty look bangin’!

3. Lucky Brand

Lucky Brand jeans have a similar worn-in, lived-in look and rugged Americana vibe as my favorite broken-in Wranglers.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

I especially love their choices of fabrics, including proprietary blends like Power Stretch Denim that provide 360° stretch while maintaining structure. Their jeans come in lots of different fits too, from easy bootcut to modern skinny silhouettes.

The Bridgette and Brooke bootcut styles are perfect for tucking into cowboy boots, with a slim thigh and subtle flare at the knee to balance out curvy figures.

Lucky Brand jeans have just enough distressing and whiskering to get that rugged cowboy look without overdoing it.

And their waistbands are thick enough to avoid the dreaded waist gap issue many brands have. Overall, Lucky Brand jeans capture that laidback American spirit of Wranglers with more curvature-hugging fabrics.

4. Levi’s

Of course I can’t leave the OG Levi’s off this list! Levi’s makes several modern skinny and slim bootcut styles that give a smoothing, flattering fit while maintaining that western heritage the brand is known for.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

I’m currently loving their Ribcage straight ankle jean – it has an ultra high waist to tuck in my flannel shirts and a relaxed straight leg that’s very forgiving. I also adore their 70s style high rise bell bottoms when I’m feeling funky.

Levi’s Sculpt fabric with four-way stretch is a game changer that slims and supports in all the right places.

And they offer short and long lengths for us vertically challenged or blessed gals. From Rebar skinny to Mile High jeans, Levi’s has the perfect pair to flatter your figure while capturing that true cowboy spirit.

5. Re/Done

Re/Done takes vintage Levi’s and modernizes the fits, fabrics and details. I really dig their approach of taking something old and making it new again.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

Their high-rise stovepipe jeans give me the long-legged, slim look I love without being too tight in the thighs or knees. That’s one area where Wranglers pinch and pull for me.

Re/Done’s slick fabrics mold to your body without losing structure or elasticity.

I love their cropped lengths that hit right above my ankle bones – perfect for showing off my favorite cowboy boots! They also offer full and half sizes so you can get an exact fit.

If you love the look of vintage Levi’s but want something more curve-conscious, Re/Done has nailed it.

6. Articles of Society

This under-the-radar brand makes stretchy skinny jeans that are subtly distressed for that worn-in look I dig.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

While they don’t scream cowboy, they provide a slim, sleek silhouette similar to Wrangler’s Ada fit.

The fabric is crazy soft and stretchy, conforming to your curves in all the right ways. I love their high waist skinny styles for both day and night. Dress ’em up with heels or down with boots.

Articles of Society jeans are also affordably priced under $100 a pair, so I can stock up on multiple washes.

The Grayson, Layne, and Olivia skinnies all work wonders for hugging my hips and thighs without feeling too restrictive. If you want a pair of everyday skinny jeans to pair with all your western tops and accessories, Articles of Society has got you covered.

7. DL1961

DL1961 is known for their perfectly fitting skinny jeans crafted from innovative fabrics that don’t lose their shape.

Brands Similar to Wrangler

I’m very rough on jeans from all my ranch work, so I need a pair that can move with me but still bounce back.

DL1961’s Instasculpt fabric is infused with shape retaining fibers that sculpt your body – and trust me, it works!

Their Emma legging skinny style hugs every inch just right, from my shapely thighs down to my calves. I also love their Farrow high waist ankle jeans for a slimming fit with on-trend raw hem detailing.

If you want an ultra flattering skinny jean that flatters your form all day, splurge on DL1961. The comfort stretch material has changed my denim life!

8. J Brand

J Brand denim screams laidback Los Angeles style. I’m obsessed with their vintage-inspired finishes and super soft fabric that molds perfectly to your curves.

Their Maria high rise skinny jeans, featured in black here, elongate my legs and accentuate my assets without any camel toe or kneebag action.

J Brand also has an amazing color selection, from classic blues and blacks to whitewashed tones and even neons for when I’m feeling funky.

Their Houlihan cargo skinny jeans put a modern twist on the utilitarian cargo trend I dig. And their Photo Ready denim smooths and contours my problem areas – hips and thighs, I’m looking at you! If you want an effortlessly sexy jean, J Brand has mastered the art of cool, curve-hugging fits.

9. Hudson

Let me tell you, Hudson jeans have a super stretch fit that forms to your body like a glove. As a curvy cowgirl, I love how their fabrics move with me, contouring to my natural silhouette.

I live in their dark rinse skinny styles – they smooth over my problem areas for an always flattering look that’s polished enough for a date night.

Hudson is known for their signature flap back pocket that is slimming on the booty. I also appreciate the high rise on most of their skinny fits that eliminates waist gap and keeps you feeling secure.

The darker rinses hide dirt and wear so I can actually wear them working on the ranch too! If you like jeans with that custom molded sensation, Hudson is your brand.

10. Paige

Fellow curvy girls listen up – Paige Denim is beloved for their Transcend fabric that literally uses 4-way stretch to lift and contour your booty and slim your hips.

I don’t know what kind of magic is woven into this innovative material, but Paige jeans make my rear end look perky and round in all the right ways.

I’m currently crushing on their Skyline high rise skinny, and the rumor and hoax skinny ankle styles.

Paige jeans mold to those often ignored spots like your upper thighs and lift your tush, while still being thick enough to avoid showing too much, ya feel me? If you want a jean that works overtime to make your backside look spectacular, hot damn Paige has done it!

11. 7 For All Mankind

This LA-based premium denim brand offers impeccably made, brilliant fitting jeans. Their Luxe Performance fabric delivers the absolute perfect amount of stretch to maintain structure while giving you a sexy slim silhouette.

I’m sweating these high waist skinnies that accentuate my slimmest part.

7 For All Mankind is definitely on the pricier side, but their rich indigo washes and contouring fits don’t quit. Their skinny and slim bootcut styles work wonders at enhancing your natural hourglass shape.

The fabric has enough heft for that quality jean vibe while remaining lightweight and breathable. If you want sophisticated denim that flatters, 7 For All Mankind is a sound investment in your closet.

12. Frame

Frame Denim crafts stunning modern skinny jeans with that effortlessly cool California vibe. The fabrics are super soft with the perfect dose of stretch to keep their structure all day long.

Frame jeans just have this indescribable luxe feel – maybe because they use Italian and Japanese fabrics? The minimal whiskering and distinctive details let the gorgeous fits speak for themselves.

The Le Skinny and Le High styles have the perfect high waist and tapered leg to elongate your frame. I love their cropped lengths that hit right at the ankle for showing off killer heels or boots.

The rich indigo washes make your legs look a mile long. For fashion-forward denim with an unmatched slim fit, Frame jeans are the ultimate wardrobe staple.

13. Citizens of Humanity

Citizens of Humanity jeans have just the right amount of stretch to keep their structure while molding to your body’s distinct curves.

The fabric is substantial enough for that true denim look but moves with you like a dream. The Rocket skinny and Callie slim boot are new favorites that contour my hips and thighs but don’t squeeze them awkwardly.

I’m also obsessed with their high rise silhouettes that hold in my stomach and love handles without creating awkward muffin top.

Citizens of Humanity offers tailored yet comfortable fits, like their Emerson slim boot that’s fitted through the hip and thigh before kicking out at the knee into a subtle flare. If you want a quality jean that celebrates your natural contours, this is the brand for you.

14. BlankNYC

This affordably priced brand makes badass, rock n’ roll inspired skinny jeans with just the right amount of attitude for the cowgirl in all of us.

Their coated skinny styles, zipper details, and patterned designs put an edgy spin on classic denim. But they still use Fabricblend technology for a flexible fit that forms to curves.

I especially dig their equestrian-inspired back pocket stitching, inner waistband print details, and low rise styles that sit below my belly button. At around $88 a pair, you really can’t beat BlankNYC’s mix of innovation, stretch, and feminine edge. If you want a sexy skinny jean alternative to traditional brands, pull on a pair of these rebel skinnies.

15. Topshop

Across the pond in the UK, Topshop makes the ultimate trendy skinny jeans with lots of cute washes and silhouettes similar to Wrangler’s slimmer Ada fit.

The fabrics all have added stretch for comfort and flexibility while keeping their fitted shape. I especially love their Jamie and Leigh jeans.

The high waisted Jamie is like a security blanket sucking in my love handles and tummy pudge. And the Leigh has a tapered skinny leg that gives the illusion of longer, slimmer legs which this short gal appreciates.

Topshop jeans are also super budget-friendly, with most styles under $80. So you can stock up on multiple skinny cuts to go with all your bootcut and flared tops without breaking the bank.

16. Madewell

Madewell’s high-rise skinny jeans check all my boxes: cool vintage-inspired washes, the perfect amount of stretch for curvy hips and thighs, and a leg-lengthening silhouette.

They have petite, tall, and curvy fit options too for us gals who don’t always fit into standard sizing.

I love the 9″ high rise styles that come up over my belly button – no more plumber’s crack!

Madewell uses innovative fabrics like Magic Stretch denim that flexes and recovers so the jeans keep hugging your curves even after all-day wear. For a flattering skinny jean crafted from quality materials, Madewell has won me over.

17. American Eagle

You might be surprised to see good ole AE on a list of Wrangler alternatives, but hear me out. Their newly revamped denim line makes jeggings that are secretly as comfortable as yoga pants but look like stylish, structured jeans.

I’m particularly obsessed with their new Curvy jeans made just for us gals blessed with ample hips and thighs.

The Curvy jeggings combined with AE’s super stretch flex fabric work wonders lifting and contouring my rear view.

The fabric is thick enough not to show underwear lines or become sheer, but still crazy flexible when riding, wrangling cattle, or just chillin’ at the bonfire. At under $50 a pop, I can build a whole jean wardrobe from AE that hugs my curves without squashing them like sausage casings!

18. AGOLDE

AGOLDE jeans have an effortlessly cool, model-off-duty vibe that reminds me of my favorite broken-in Wranglers but with a more tapered, curve-sculpting silhouette.

Their signature Pinch Waist skinny style hugs your hips and booty in all the right places thanks to quality fabrics with the perfect dose of stretch. I’m loving the light vintage washes and minimal whiskering that give them that worn-in feel right off the shelf.

These jeans are pricey, around $188 a pair, but the innovative fabrics and impeccable construction make them worth it in my opinion.

AGOLDE uses cutting edge Tencel technology on styles like the Riley and Chrissy to create softness and flexibility while maintaining structure. So your jeans keep their shape all day through any ranch activities while feeling like your fave yoga pants.

They also do cool modern details like raw hems, rounded front pockets, and logo embroidery on the back pockets. If you want a pair of skinny jeans that transitions effortlessly from working the ranch to drinks at the honky tonk, pull on some AGOLDE.

19. Mother

Mother jeans have the ultimate lived-in, love-worn look and feel that I dig about broken-in Wranglers, with a more tailored silhouette.

Their innovative stretch denim fabrics mold to your body’s natural curves and movement so you get that custom fitted feel. The High Waisted Looker is my jam with a slim tapered leg that makes your legs look a mile long.

These jeans have just enough fading, whiskering, and distressing for that rugged vibe without looking overly done.

I also love their novelty buttons and stitching colors that add personality.

While Mother denim is pricey like AGOLDE, starting around $198, they use high quality fabrics designed to both contour and retain their integrity. So you get superior longevity and fit. For day to day jeans living, Mother totally gets the assignment.

20. Good American

Khloe Kardashian’s denim brand Good American sculpts your body like no other. Their fabrics and fits were specifically designed for curvy, shapely figures.

The Always Fits technology uses the perfect dose of stretch for that butt-lifting, thigh-smoothing, waist-cinching magic. Consider me obsessed.

The Good Waist skinny styles are my new holy grail with that ultra high rise to support and smooth your midsection.

I also adore their Good ’90s vintage wash designs that celebrate the female form at any size. At around $150 a pair, Good American jeans certainly have a premium price point. But they make by butt look banging and feel like I’m wearing cheater Spanx, so for me they are worth every penny!

21. See by Chloé

If you want a pair of jeans with that sought-after model-off-duty vibe, look no further than See by Chloé. This brand offers feminine silhouettes with lots of stretch and figure-flattering details.

I love their slim bootcut fits that balance out curvy hips by tapering through the thigh before subtly flaring out at the knee.

See by Chloé jeans come in pretty pale blue and grey washes that elongate legs and also distressed options that add flair.

Unique touches like lettuce hem trims, floral embroidered back pockets, and dainty buttons make you feel feminine yet edgy. Be prepared to splurge around $295, but these jeans truly complement and celebrate the female form.

22. Rag & Bone

Rag & Bone make luxuriously soft jeans with that perfectly worn-in look we all covet.

Their skinny styles like the Dre skinny and High Rise skinny contour your hips and thighs with strategic fading and distressing to flatter curves. I also dig their vintage-vibe, high-waisted cigarette jeans for elongating legs.

These jeans are an investment at around $225 a pair, but Rag & Bone uses innovative stretch fabrics that mold to your shape while retaining structure.

So you get superior comfort and flexibility that lasts.

Little design details like logo emblems on the back pockets and custom hardware make these jeans feel special.

If you want a pair of jeans you’ll want to live in, Rag & Bone has mastered the premium denim game.
