Bonjour friends!
I’m so excited to share some of my favorite brands that have a similar vibe to Zadig & Voltaire.
You know how much I love their rock n’ roll chic style – it’s like they took all the best parts of Parisian fashion and gave it a cool, edgy twist.
But their pieces can be a little pricey for my budget.
That’s why I’ve hunted down some great alternatives so we can all get that effortless French look for less!
Last year I found the perfect Zadig & Voltaire dress at a vintage shop here in Paris.
I was so excited to get it for a steal!
But when I brought it home and compared it to the real thing, I realized it was a total fake.
Mon dieu!
I was so embarrassed.
Now I inspect labels extra carefully before buying anything secondhand.
Fool me once…
The good news is, you don’t need to buy the real Zadig & Voltaire to get their signature look.
Keep reading and I’ll share my favorite
similar brands
that will help you channel that Parisian vibe on a budget:
Sandro
Sandro is a great French
brand that has a very similar
aesthetic to Zadig & Voltaire.
They use a lot of leather, edgy details like zippers and hardware, and rock-inspired pieces like biker jackets.
The quality is excellent but the prices are a bit lower than Zadig & Voltaire, making it a great alternative.
I especially love their leather moto jackets – they have a few different styles, from classic black to metallic silver and rose gold.
The hardware and zipper details really give it that cool, rebellious vibe.
Their t-shirts and tops are also awesome – graphic prints, lace-up details, cutoff shoulders…
very edgy yet feminine.
And of course, you can’t go wrong with their selection of leather pants and skirts – they know how to do leather right!
I’d say about 70% of what Sandro offers has that Zadig & Voltaire attitude, without the extreme prices.
Their floral maxidresses and lace camis have a nice romantic vibe too for days you want to channel your inner French girl.
Maje
Maje is another one of my favorite French brands.
Their clothes have a laidback Parisian vibe with the perfect amount of edge.
Lots of cool metallic hardware, leather, lace, and floral prints in a moody color palette.
Think the quintessential “Parisian in a leather jacket” look without the high price tag.
Maje is especially great for leather jackets – they offer classic moto styles as well as edgier cropped versions with buckles and zippers galore.
I’m also obsessed with their lace and broderie anglaise tops and dresses – the contrast between the feminine fabric and edgy details like shoulder cutouts or back lacing is so chic.
Maje’s jeans and trousers are wonderful too – I love their coated skinny jeans in colors like burgundy and olive green.
And their t-shirts with graphic prints and lace-up necklines pair so nicely with everything.
Maje’s footwear is definitely worth a look too – lots of cool metallic lace-up booties and loafers that add instant French rebel attitude to any outfit.
The Kooples
The Kooples is all about that French rebel chic look.
You’ll find a lot of rocker inspired pieces like leather pants, edgy blazers, and floral dresses with an attitude.
The
styling is youthful and bold – very similar
to Zadig & Voltaire’s downtown cool aesthetic.
The Kooples does edgy tailoring so well – their fitted blazers come in velvet, leather, and fun prints like plaid and florals.
I especially love their smoking jackets which give a tuxedo vibe.
Their signature skinny trousers are also amazing – they come in colored denim, coated denim, and faux leather.
For a Zadig & Voltaire rock n’ roll
vibe, check out The Kooples’ graphic band tees, embellished denim, and slouchy boots
with studs and grommets galore.
And if you want something a bit more femme, they have stunning embroidered peasant blouses and lace maxi dresses.
The prices are comparable to Zadig & Voltaire but you can often find The Kooples on sale.

If you love the rock n’ roll vibe of Zadig & Voltaire, check out Faith Connexion.
Their clothing has a gritty, music-inspired look with lots of leather, studs, sequins, and graffiti-print styles.
It’s punk meets Parisian flair.
Think Zadig & Voltaire with even more edge!
Faith Connexion takes rocker chic to the extreme with heavily embellished and distressed pieces.
Studded moto jackets, metallic sequin tops, lace-up leather pants…they pull out all the stops.
I especially love their jeans – the knee blowouts and eccentric patches and pins are so cool.
They also make the edgiest dresses – graffiti prints, extreme cutouts, mixing lace and leather.
Accessories are bold too – spiked chokers,
stacked bracelets
, holographic bags.
If you really want to channel that rebellious French vibe, Faith Connexion has you covered from head to toe!
IRO
IRO is one of my go-to brands for casual Parisian style.
They make a lot of laidback pieces like t-shirts, jeans, and dresses but add trendy details like shoulder cutouts, distressed styling and edgy hardware.
The quality is great and the price point is comparable to Zadig & Voltaire.
IRO’s leather jackets have the perfect amount of slouch and distressing – I love styling them with dresses for an edgy but feminine contrast.
Their jeans are so cool too – called the Ashville, they have trendy fraying and ripped details that look like you’ve had them forever.
IRO’s tops and tees have asymmetric necklines, cutout shoulders, and drapey silhouettes that pair so nicely with their signature relaxed denim.
And their dresses nail that insouciant French vibe – muted floral prints, soft knits, and easy silhouettes with raw hems or shoulder cutouts.
IRO’s accessories pull looks together perfectly too – wide-brim fedoras, metallic slides, lots of layered gold jewelry.

Filles à Papa takes traditionally girly elements like florals and poofy sleeves and toughens them up with edgy details.
I love their puff sleeve tops with exposed zippers down the arms and lace-up backs.

add just a hint of Parisian rebel flair.
Sézane sales are amazing too – lots of their edgy leather pieces can be snapped up for 50-60% off!
Isabel Marant Étoile
While the main
Isabel Marant
line is very high-end, the more affordable Étoile line has the same boho-chic vibe with edgier detailing that Zadig & Voltaire fans will love.
You’ll find embroidered peasant blouses, distressed denim, and slouchy blazers with just enough French rebel attitude.
Isabel Marant Étoile captures that laidback Parisian tomboy vibe so perfectly.
