I know your struggle – I’ve spent way too many hours refreshing pages trying to score a pair of Yeezys for retail price.
But I’ve learned there are so many other dope brands producing similar styles. Keep reading for my in-depth picks!
Let me tell you a funny story about my own failed attempts at Yeezy copping.
Last year when the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Zebra” restocked, I woke up at 6 AM on launch day, phone in hand, ready to battle the bots.
I scored a pair in my size on Adidas.com and did a happy dance around my apartment – only to receive an “order canceled” email 5 minutes later! Apparently the sneaker gods were not on my side.
But you know what?
In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. It forced me to expand my sneaker horizons and discover some amazing Yeezy alternatives.
The truth is, you don’t need to pay resale prices or enter impossible raffles to get that Yeezy style.
There are so many dope brands putting their own spin on the chunky dad shoe trend.
Adidas
Let’s start with the obvious. Adidas makes some of the best Yeezy lookalikes since, well, they actually collaborate with Kanye West on Yeezy!
For a similar chunky, futuristic silhouette, check out the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V3.
It has the same bold curves and statement shape as the iconic Yeezy Boost 350 in a more rugged high-top style.
The V3 uses Adidas Primeknit on the upper for that cozy slipper feel, while the jagged outsole is about as close as you can get to real Yeezys without paying resale.
I’m obsessed with the recent blue and gray colorways that remind me of Beluga Yeezys. Another Adidas option with major Yeezy energy is the Ozrah, which just dropped in January.
It has the same thick sculpted midsole and mixed material upper as the Yeezy 700 MNVN.
I especially like the black Ozrah with gum outsole – so sleek! If you’re looking for the ultimate dad shoe, peep the Adidas Yeezy 500 High in earthy tones like the Taupe Light colorway.
With its oversized suede upper and chunky sole, it’s got the same rugged vibe as the OG Yeezy 500.
Nike
Nike brings the heat when it comes to Yeezy alternatives. The Nike Air Max 270 React has a super comfortable React foam sole and the same bulky, futuristic lines as the Yeezy Boost 350 V2.
The upper combines breathable mesh with flexible synthetics for a modern look, and Nike offers fun colorways like Light Bone and Platinum.
For Yeezy 500 vibes, peep the Nike Air Max 97. This iconic sneaker has those undulating retro lines we love, plus premium leather and a visible air bubble in the sole. Look out for cool collabs like the one with Sean Wotherspoon.
And don’t sleep on the Nike ISPA Link – its exaggerated shape and wrapped sole scream Yeezy foam runner.
When it comes to Nike, you can also customize your own Yeezy-style sneakers on Nike By You. Choose a Boost-style sole, Primeknit upper, and fun colors like Yeezy’s iconic “Beluga” gray for your own unique creation.
New Balance
From their Made in USA 990 series to fresh collabs, New Balance has been killin’ the dad shoe game. The New Balance 327 is a legend in chunky, retro sneaker style.
This 70s running shoe has recently been reissued with new premium materials and colorways, making it a stylish and comfortable Yeezy alternative.
I especially dig the iteration with cream suede and green accents. And don’t sleep on the New Balance 550 which dropped in 2022 – its sculpted shape and mixed materials scream Yeezy.
Another affordable New Balance option is the 57/40. This basketball-turned-lifestyle shoe has the same sporty height as the Yeezy 500 High.
For a Yeezy Boost vibe, check out the New Balance FuelCell RC Elite – its carbon plate and wide forefoot will make you feel like you’re running on clouds. And their sale section is full of Yeezy lookalikes like the 1500 for under $100.

Or rock their Jazz Original – it’s got a vintage vibe with its suede and nylon upper but still features that chunky rubber sole. Saucony also has great performance runners that can compete with the Yeezy Boost. Check out the Endorphin Pro with its energetic Foam PB midsole.
It comes in understated colorways like white/black that remind me of my fave Yeezys. And their Kinvara 13 running shoe has a flexible knit upper and wide platform, perfect for comfort seekers.

The hand-stitched upper takes this sneaker to the next level. Alexander McQueen also does a knit Climber Sneaker that mimics the Yeezy Boost 350 silhouette.
