I have been obsessed with Vince clothes lately.
They’ve got that relaxed California vibe goin’ on that just looks effortlessly chic.
But let me tell ya, that easy breezy style does not come cheap.
So I set out to find some brands with a similar aesthetic that won’t break the bank.
I dug up 17+ of my faves that give Vince a run for its money.
Let’s check ’em out!
These alternative brands have similar silhouettes and fabrics to Vince without the high price tag.
Did you know Vince was founded right here in San Diego in 2002?
No wonder their clothes just scream laidback SoCal style ;
)
1. Reformation
Reformation is a great choice if you want Vince quality and style without the price tag, girl!
They make all their garms like dresses, blouses and trousers from organic cotton, recycled fabrics or other eco-friendly materials.
Specific items to check out?
Their Halo Dress is a best-seller – it’s this swishy mini dress with puff sleeves or spaghetti straps that’s perfect for brunch dates or nights out.
The Rowan Maxi is another fave – it’s a flowy long sundress with subtle stripes or solids that’ll look chic at the beach or a picnic.
Reformation also has cute skirts like the Marlo Pleated Midi – its A-line silhouette and midi length makes it great for the office or nights out.
Accessory-wise, you gotta grab their Faith Bag too – it’s this sizable straw tote or crossbody that’ll be your new fave summer purse, hands down.
Reformation tops are super comfy too.
I love layering their cropped tanks or shrugs with high-waisted jeans or a midi skirt.
Items like the Cameron Tank, Eden Cardigan or Lotus Shrug are fab for that – the fabrics have great drape and movement.
Repetition also does amazing knitwear – their wrap dresses, pullovers and cardigans are cozy without being overwhelmingly bulky.
Their sweaters come in the champest colors and prints too – think bold stripes, gingham or floral motifs perfect for brightening up gloomy days.
Speaking of colors, I gotta give Ref props for how many options they give you – not just basic blacks and navys but rich jewel tones, pastels and fun patterns too.
Fit-wise, Reformation cuts are super flattering yet relaxed.
Most pieces have roomy sleeves and hems that skim without clinging too tightly.
Their fabrications have great stretch too so sizes run true.
As for sizing, I’d say Ref fits somewhat oversized – their tops are generous in the bust while skirts and dresses have forgiveness in the waist and hips too.
Citizens of Humanity
Citizens of Humanity is straight up goals if you want wardrobe essentials that last seasons.
Their jeans, twill trousers and button-ups are made from the comfiest materials like organic cotton, linen blends and super soft denim.
I’m tellin’ ya, I have CZ jeans from like 3 years ago that are still lookin’ fresh – no fading or stretching out at all!
Specific styles to cop?
The High Rise skinny is an immediate classic – the dark washes mold to your bod and hit at the perfect spot above the belly.
Their Ramona Wide Leg Pant is fab too for a looser, breezier silhouette.
And no joke, I own their Parker Shirt in 5 colors – it’s simply cut with point collars and chest pockets that look bomb with the jeans.
Besides denim, CZ aces wardrobe staples too.
I’m loving their slouchy boyfriend blazers in striped or glen plaid wool – toss ’em over a tee or sweater to instantly look put together.
Their slub tees, tanks and polos are fab for layering too – made from soft organic cotton or linen so they drape nicely without clinging.
Another essential?
Their Effortless Cardigan comes in the butteriest cotton – I snag it in neutral colors to throw on with everything.
For accessories, you need their Braided Belt in a few colors – it cinches your waist and takes any outfit to the next level.
Fit-wise, CZ styles have nice give without being overly loose.
I’d say their silhouettes are true to size with room for movement.
Jeans come high enough for your tummy but not above your belly button – very flattering.
Tops also aren’t too tight or baggy in the chest or arms.
Material-wise, the fabrics only get softer with time which I love.
Overall if you want quality, timeless pieces, Citizens of Humanity is such a stellar investment that’ll have you lookin’ polished for years to come.
