I recently stumbled upon this awesome color combo for nails — sage green mixed with pops of pink, and wow, does it look amazing:
This pairing is not only super trendy but also beautifully feminine, giving your nails a fresh and fashionable vibe.
I’m excited to share more about this stunning floral nail art design that really caught my eye.

It’s perfect for anyone looking to spice up their nail game with something a bit different and super stylish.
So, here’s how you can rock this chic look on your nails:
Step 1: Prime and Prep
Before you start painting, it’s all about prepping those nails for a masterpiece.
A solid base coat is key, and my go-to is the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.
It’ll help your nail art last longer and prevent any staining from pigmented polishes.
Step 2: Lay Down Your Colors
Once your base coat is dry, apply a couple of coats of a beautiful nude polish. I’m head over heels for essie Nail Polish in “Ballet Slippers”
Because it gives that perfect, clean background for your flowers. For that lovely green accent on the other nails, Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in “Leaf Me Be”
is just the right shade of green to complement the florals.
Step 3: Sketch Your Branches
With your nails all set with the base colors, it’s time to get artistic. Using a fine-tipped brush dipped in black acrylic paint, like the versatile Acrylic Leather Paint:
carefully draw the thin branches. The branches are the backbone of your floral design, so take your time with this step.
Step 4: Paint the Petals
Now comes the bloom! For those delicate pink flowers, the OPI Nail Lacquer in “Strawberry Margarita”
is perfect — it’s a vibrant and fun shade that really pops against the nude background. Use a fine-tipped brush to apply the polish in petal shapes along the branches you’ve drawn.
Step 5: Add Some Greenery
No floral arrangement is complete without a touch of greenery. Use the same green polish you used for the accent nails to add little leaves to the branches.
A small dotting tool or the tip of your brush can be perfect for this — just a couple of light strokes beside the branches and you’ve got yourself some foliage.
Step 6: Detail Work
Once your flowers have dried, it’s time to add some definition. Go back with your fine-tipped brush, maybe the Winstonia Fine Tipped Nail Art Brush
and carefully dot the center of each flower with the black acrylic paint. This will give your flowers a more realistic and finished look.
Step 7: Seal the Deal
Last but not least, protect your floral fantasy with a durable top coat. I swear by Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Nail Coat
to keep everything in place and add a professional-looking glossy finish to my nail art.
With just the perfect shades of polish, a bit of painter’s tape, and a steady hand, you’re all set to sport this look for your next girls’ night out. Have fun with it, and remember, it’s totally fine if it takes a couple of attempts to nail those floral details perfectly.
Once you’ve mastered those charming petals, you’ll be turning heads and everyone will be dying to know where you got your nails done!

Neutral Nails
Not everyone is into bright, bold colors and patterns when it comes to their nails. Some people prefer a soft, subtle look.
Natural and neutral nail designs will continue to be popular in 2024.
This trend is great for people who want something that complements their skin tone or just want an overall clean and classy look.
Popular neutral colors include beige, light pink, nude, white, gray and pale yellow.
These muted tones look amazing on both long and short nail lengths.
You can paint all nails the same color or alternate between two complementary neutral shades.
Another way to spice up neutral nails is by adding some subtle embellishments.
Some of my favorite examples are using a matte topcoat for a modern feel, adding mini pearls or crystals near the cuticles, or just a single metallic accent nail.
Bright Solid Colors French tips are also super stylish
I recently did a lovely neutral look on my client Jane using a light ballet slipper pink on most nails, alternating with a shimmery sand color on the others.
We kept her nails at a medium length and added just a touch of sparkle with a few small crystals near the base of her ring fingers.
It was simple but stunning!
While neutrals are nice, bright and bold nail colors never truly go out of style. Primary colors and neon hues are always a fun choice.
Choosing one solid vibrant shade makes a statement. Some hot options for 2024 include lime green, bright orange, electric pink, cobalt blue and magenta.
The great thing about solid colors is you can just paint on one coat and be done. Although adding a fun glossy topcoat never hurts!
Or get creative and use multiple glossy topcoats layered on each other for a cool wet look. Matte topcoats are also an edgy way to tone down a high-impact bright color.
Short or long length nails both look awesome with bright solids. Just be sure to keep filing and cuticles looking neat to complement the bold shades. Also think about adding nail art with black polish or metallic details as an accent.
Metallic Nails
Metallic nail polishes add instant glam to any look. Silver, gold and rose gold colors are timeless elegance and will continue to reign in 2024.
Coppery, bronze and pewter metallic tones are also on trend for a more unique vibe.
Metallic nails pair perfectly with formal evening events and holiday parties. But they can also spice up a casual everyday style. Just keep the rest of your look minimal and let the nails make a vibrant statement.
Long almond or square shaped nails really showcase metallics beautifully. Add some shine with a clear glossy topcoat over metallics to amp up the reflective effect.
You can also layer different metallic colors, like gold over silver for more depth.
Two-Toned Nails
Why choose just one nail color when you can rock two? Two-toned manicures will rise in popularity in 2024 for their fun, artistic vibe.
The color combinations are endless based on your personal preferences.
Some examples of stylish two-toned nails are black and white, navy and lavender, pink and red, gray and pastel blue. You can do color blocks, ombre fading, or zig-zag patterns. Get creative with glossy and matte finishes.
When doing two-toned nails, I recommend choosing colors in the same color family or shades that complement each other.
Pick one color as the main base color for most nails, then use the second color as accents on the others. This helps the overall look remain cohesive.
Recently I did a bright crimson red base on most nails, with glossy white color blocks on clients’ pointer fingers and thumbs. A couple glitter accent nails completed the perfect game day nail look!
Minimalist French Manicure
French manicures have been popular for decades, but the trend is shifting to a more minimalist modern look for 2024.
Say goodbye to frosty white tips! Next year, expect to see unfussy nude, clear or thin black French tips instead.
Less is more when it comes to modern French manicures. Keep the base color neutral and natural looking, then use a subtle sheer polish for barely-there tips. For a bolder touch, go with slick black tips on top of the nude base.
The finished look is much softer and more understated than a traditional French manicure. Keep filing neat and designs minimal for crisp lines. This works great on natural nails or long extensions.
Rainbow Nails
What’s more joyful than a rainbow?
In 2024, rainbow nail designs will be everywhere to showcase pride and spread positivity. Paint each nail a different vibrant color of the rainbow, or do color blocking on one accent nail.
You can keep rainbow nails fun and simple by using glossy creams, or get creative with iridescent chromes, glitter ombres, and striping tape details. Use standard ROYGBIV rainbow order, or customize the color pattern and shades to your liking. Short round nails show off rainbows nicely.
My favorite rainbow manicure I did was on my client, who is a children’s book author.
We created a magical rainbow look using pastel matte polishes on short square nails, with crystal accents. It was the perfect whimsical and upbeat vibe to match her personality.
Mad for Plaid
Fall and winter 2024 will bring super trendy plaid nail designs.
Tartan checks and gingham patterns add retro flair. This edgy twist on traditional holiday nails will be hot for the upcoming seasons.
Start with a base color like black, dark green or navy. Use striping tape to create thin straight lines in contrasting colors like red, yellow or white to get the plaid effect.
Get creative with the patterns and line directions.
For extra dimension, layer over matte topcoats or add gold stud details. Plaid pattern decals and nail stickers are also a shortcut option for this look. Both short almond and long coffin nails look striking with plaid.
Recently I have created beautiful plaid nails featuring olive green and mustard yellow checks over a dark base. Paired with her cozy cable knit sweater, the manicure was perfect for the autumnal celebration.
Abstract Art Nails
Avant garde abstract nail art will make a bold artistic statement in 2024.
Think unexpected shapes, uneven lines, splotches of color, paint drips and unconventional textures.
This trend is all about getting creative and breaking the rules!
Nail art pens, striping tape and masking fluid are great tools for abstract designs. Layer different colors and finishes like matte over chrome.
Splatter and drip polish onto nails for a modern spin on traditional nail art techniques.
Leave negative space between shapes and lines for an unfinished patchwork look. Abstract nails are ideal for short coffin or ballerina lengths, but the messier the better!
Don’t overthink it, just have fun and let your randomness shine.
Delicate Florals
What’s more lovely than flowers on your nails? Delicate painted florals in soft pastel hues will be ideal for spring and summer 2024. Pretty blooms like roses, peonies, magnolias and cherry blossoms are feminine and romantic choices.
Light pinks, purples, blues and greens work beautifully for this look. Start with a neutral base, then use a thin nail art brush to add miniature floral details. Accent nails with flower decals or gemstones for extra whimsy.
This manicure is perfect for weddings, baby showers, or just when you want to embrace your inner flower child! Long almond nails really complement the petite painted botanicals.
Floral manicure can be on an ivory base with hand-painted pink peonies accented with pale green leaves and pearls on her oval nails. It can be an ethereal boho look that perfectly suited the occasion.
Glazed Donut Nails
One of the yummiest nail trends for 2024 is glazed donut nails!
These feature mouthwatering drips and shiny finishes that look good enough to eat. Pink, brown and creamy off-white polishes evoke sugary frosting on donuts.
You can paint the base color on all nails, then use a small dotting tool to add various sized drops of contrasting colors like glossy browns, whites and pinks.
Or ombre into two shades. Finish with a thick shiny topcoat for maximum lacquered effect.
I’d recommend medium or long coffin nails to really showcase the tantalizing details and colors. Just prepare for all the compliments asking if you just came from the bakery!
90s Nail Art
Ready to go on a nostalgia trip?
90s nail art will make a major comeback in 2024! Retro throwback designs like geometric shapes, squiggles, polka dots, stripes and abstract lines defined 90s style.
Pull out your old nail art pens, striping tape and dotting tools. Matte finishes, pastels, neons and black details all give off 90s attitude.
You can keep it simple with color blocks on one accent nail, or go all out with funky patterns on multiple fingers.
Both short round and long square nails complement the fun freehand designs. Just be bold, expressive and don’t hold back on color combos! Now who’s up for a 90s dance party?
Chrome Nails
Get ready to shine bright in 2024 with high-impact chrome nails! This galactic trend uses special powders or polishes to create an eye-catching mirror-like reflective effect on nails.
Chrome is super futuristic and looks amazing as an accent over neutral or dark base colors.
Silver and rose gold are popular, but you can also try green, blue and purple for more funky options.
Use magnets and masking fluid to create geometric chrome designs.
I recommend long square or stiletto nails to really showcase the stellar sparkle. Seal it all in with a glossy topcoat for cosmic glam that’s out of this world!
